The backbone of Grind House Fitness is traditional CrossFit workouts, focusing on strength, conditioning, and mobility. These workouts combine gymnastics, weightlifting, and metabolic conditioning in varying degrees and durations to create unparalleled results. From the basic air squat all the way to the very technical muscle up and Olympic lifts, we utilize them all and make it workable for anyone at any level of fitness. We have two dedicated and experienced USA Weightlifting certified coaches to help you take your Olympic weightlifting to the next level. Paired with a dedicated space, platforms, quality weightlifting bars and kilo plates you will have everything you need to succeed. Our weightlifting classes are fully coached and programmed. If you are interested in competing we offer full meet prep as well as day-of meet coaching. Open platform time is also available outside of class times. 

Not an experienced weightlifter? No problem. Our dedicated coaches will provide the blueprint to help make you a successful lifter whether you are a seasoned lifter, CrossFitter, or are brand new to the sport.

Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. Our class based program will focus on those three lifts as well as a host of accessory lifts to increase your overall strength and power. Our dedicated powerlifting coach, Dusty Gibson, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the powerlifting program. He is ready and willing to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be, in the sport of powerlifting. From coaching, programming, meet prep, and specialty powerlifting equipment you won’t find anywhere else, Grind House Powerlifting has it all!

If you do not have time to make it to class, no worries! We offer open gym times for ALL of our Powerlifting members to make up their work out at their convenience. If you are looking for specific powerlifting equipment we have it for you. Multiple Texas Power Bars, Texas Deadlift Bars, a Texas Squat Bar, along with a host of metal plates and equipment for accessory work. We have everything you need to be successful!

Tired of constantly looking around to find a gym with the right equipment for Strongman? LOOK NO FURTHER. Here is a sample of the unique Strongman specific equipment we have in-house! A variety of stones up to 400lbs, multiple kegs and heavy sandbags, a husafell Stone, yokes, axle bars, four different sized logs, two circus dumbbells, and a pair wagon wheels. Yoga helps maximize your breath and focus when the anticipation of the clock starts to hit you. Your posture will lengthen, your muscles will lengthen, most importantly your breath will lengthen. CrossFit can leave you feeling sore and tense. Incorporating yoga will reduce these feelings while also increasing recovery time.

Run in-house through our separate branded program, Genesis Athletic Performance, semi-private athlete training offers a unique training experience that’s not available anywhere else in the NW Houston or Cypress, TX area. It’s a cost effective way for athletes to receive the exact individualized training needed to become better at their sport. Semi-private training combines the atmosphere of team-based strength and conditioning with private training customization. A flexible schedule offers the ability for you to train in a facility of like-minded athletes, instructed by a team of coaches dedicated to making you better.

Coach to client ratio never exceeds 1:7. Ages 7-18.
