Mary Jones has been training at Grind House since July.
We asked her about her fitness journey thus far:
“I watched my son & husband join CrossFit around the same time that I was going through some debilitating back pain issues. Both of them were getting so strong and healthy! My age, pain & the realization that things would only get worse if I didn’t change what I was doing made me want what they were getting!! Being sedentary was aging me so fast!! So I finally joined Grind House July 2017!! Holy cow!!
Well, this might not seem like a big accomplishment but I can do burpees without “climbing” back up to stand!!! I loathe burpees but know that they’re good for me to do.
I tell people “DO NOT be intimidated, just look at me!! I’m able to do this bc the trainers help me to scale the workout & do only what I’m capable of doing so that I don’t get hurt!”
I wish crossfit was around when I was young! It’s the BEST total body workout! I literally feel 100% better than I did just 9 months ago!”
